I tend to get caught up drawing the same things or types of things over and over again and I want to try to break out of that a little. I was thinking character ideas mostly, but anything would be helpful.
How did the burning hammer look? I actually kinda had you in mind when I did that picture, would've been more so if it were crazy robots instead of cute girlbots, but I figured you'd get a kick out of it.
As you said, it wasn't true to a Kobashi style burning hammer, but it's still a badass looking move and the inspiration is there. That's what is important to me. I think the girlbot's look pretty awesome.
I actually want to do a picture of her doing an Osaka Street Cutter at some point. I have to find some decent refs though. It's kinda funny, the best ref for the burning hammer was a little stickman animation.
I don't know, I guess in America you see this kind of stuff all the time with the American Flag, and it's gotten rather old, and there are plenty of other countries that are very loud about how great they are, but I don't think I've ever seen anything dealing with Canadian Pride, so I just thought it was kinda neat.
I could use some ideas for new stuff draw.
